Why this practice
Four implants can only carry an arch if the bone will take them. The CBCT scan we take in house tells us that on day one, before anyone promises you anything.
Dr. Gregory Shank, a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, handles the surgical phase. Dr. Yev Davydov plans and delivers the prosthesis. Full arch cases go wrong when those two are strangers.
The prosthesis is secured to the implants. It stays in. Reviewers who came to us for other work consistently describe the same careful, unhurried approach we bring to these cases.
Full arch treatment is a significant investment. We estimate the figure in writing, apply any insurance benefit, and offer third party financing to spread it.

An angled placement pattern lets a full arch be supported where a conventional plan would need grafting first.
Bone volume, nerve position and sinus anatomy are measured before anyone promises you a result.

The process
A full assessment of both arches, the bone, and the bite. You will be told plainly whether you are a candidate for four implants, six, or something else entirely.
Surgical stages, provisional stage, final prosthesis, timeline and total cost. Insurance estimated against it before anything is booked.
Extractions where needed, implant placement, and a fixed provisional bridge so you are not left without teeth.
Once the implants have integrated, the definitive prosthesis is fitted. Reviewed, adjusted, and maintained by the same team.
Insurance and payment
The practice files and tracks claims for you and works to maximise your yearly benefit. Where treatment runs beyond what insurance covers, Sunbit and Cherry financing are available.
Your dentists
A board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, a board certified orthodontist, and a restorative and cosmetic dentist, in the same office.

Board certified orthodontist, and an injectables and dermal fillers specialist. UCSF dental school, a general practice residency at St Barnabas Hospital, then orthodontic training where she earned the Herzberg award for clinical excellence. She handles clear aligner therapy and interdisciplinary orthodontic cases.
Board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and dental implant specialist. Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, with residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He teaches at Weill Cornell Medical Center and handles the surgical phase of implant, full arch and reconstruction cases.

Questions
The number of implants supporting the arch. All-on-4 uses four, angled to make the most of available bone. All-on-6 uses six and is chosen when the bone allows it and the case benefits from extra support. The CBCT scan and your bite determine which is appropriate. We also provide All-on-X, which the profession also calls teeth in a day, and implant supported dentures where a fixed prosthesis is not the right answer.
The intent with All-on-4 is that a fixed provisional bridge goes in the same day, so you are not without teeth. Whether that happens in your case depends on how the implants seat during surgery. We will tell you honestly at the planning stage what to expect.
The implants themselves are designed to be permanent once integrated. The prosthesis on top is a wearing component and may need repair or replacement over the years, in the same way any restoration does. Hygiene visits and regular reviews matter here more than with natural teeth.
Once healed, most patients eat a far wider range of food than they could with a removable denture, because the prosthesis is anchored to bone rather than resting on gum. During the healing phase there is a soft diet period we will take you through.
It varies with the number of implants, whether extractions and grafting are needed, and the material of the final prosthesis. We give the figure in writing after the scan. Sunbit and Cherry financing are available, and we will estimate any insurance contribution before you decide.
They solve the same problem differently. A traditional denture rests on the gum and is removed. All-on-4 is fixed to implants and stays in. Fixed treatment costs more and requires surgery. We fit both, and we will tell you which one actually suits your bone, your health, and your budget.
