Why this practice
Shape, proportion, midline and shade are planned digitally and reviewed with you first. Changes happen on screen, while everything is still reversible.
Porcelain veneers, Zoom whitening, dental bonding, ceramic crowns, Invisalign and smile makeovers. The right answer is often the least invasive one, and we will say so.
CEREC designs and produces ceramic restorations during your appointment, so much of the work is finished without the weeks normally spent waiting on a restoration.
Cosmetic and restorative work is the core of this practice. Dr. Yev Davydov and Dr. Brianna Davydov handle the cosmetic caseload, with Dr. Gregory Shank for the surgical side.

Patients come to us for cosmetic dentistry from across Midtown East, Midtown Manhattan, Turtle Bay, Sutton Place, Murray Hill and the Upper East Side. The office is on East 55th Street between Lexington and Third, one block from the 51st Street and Lexington Avenue trains.

Your dentists
A board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, a board certified orthodontist, and a restorative and cosmetic dentist, in the same office.
Cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Dental school at UCSF, where he graduated with honors in prosthetic and restorative dentistry, after a physiology degree at UCLA and a general practice residency at Maimonides Medical Center. He plans and restores the cosmetic and full arch cases.
Board certified orthodontist, and an injectables and dermal fillers specialist. UCSF dental school, a general practice residency at St Barnabas Hospital, then orthodontic training where she earned the Herzberg award for clinical excellence. She handles clear aligner therapy and interdisciplinary orthodontic cases.
Board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and dental implant specialist. Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, with residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He teaches at Weill Cornell Medical Center and handles the surgical phase of implant, full arch and reconstruction cases.

Questions
Cosmetic dentistry covers treatment chosen for how the result looks as well as how it functions. In this practice that means porcelain veneers, Zoom whitening, dental bonding, ceramic crowns, Invisalign and full smile makeovers. What separates it from general dentistry is that the finished appearance is planned deliberately at the start rather than being a by product.
It depends entirely on which procedures your case needs. Whitening sits at one end and a full makeover of ten or more teeth at the other. We give you a written figure after the consultation and design stage, estimate any insurance contribution, and offer Sunbit and Cherry financing so larger treatment can be spread over time.
Yes, and we would not proceed without it. Your case is designed digitally and reviewed with you before anything irreversible happens. For veneer cases you also live with provisional restorations before the final porcelain is made.
Purely cosmetic treatment is usually not covered, but a great deal of cosmetic work has a restorative component that plans do contribute to, such as crowns on damaged teeth. We accept Delta Dental, MetLife, Aetna, United Healthcare, Guardian, Cigna, Humana, Anthem BCBS, Lincoln Financial, Optum, Careington and SIDS/ASO. We file the claim and estimate your out of pocket before you commit.
That is the actual question at the consultation, and the honest answer is often the least invasive option. Whitening handles colour but nothing else. Bonding repairs small chips and gaps and is reversible. Veneers change shape, proportion and colour but require removing enamel permanently. We will tell you if you do not need veneers.
Whitening can be a single visit. Bonding is usually one appointment. Veneer cases typically run over two to three appointments across a few weeks, plus the design stage beforehand. Cases involving alignment first take longer, because the teeth have to move before the final restorations are made.
